I am writing to endorse Mark Sandeen’s candidacy for the Board of Selectmen.

I have known Mark for a number of years through my work with the Lexington Global Warming Action Coalition. To say that Mark is a born leader would be a severe understatement. One only needs to look at what he has already accomplished in the town of Lexington, especially in terms of improving our access to clean and sustainable energy, to begin to appreciate the strength of that leadership. Mark not only has a vision for a better community, but also has the will, passion and capability to fulfill that vision. He has identified problems, generated creative solutions and assembled constituents to move our town forward.

Indeed, it is in large measure due to Mark’s wisdom and action that Lexington is an energy leader in Massachusetts and in the nation. His ability to formulate a brilliant idea, uncover practical solutions and gain a steadfast following, all while respecting basic human values, will benefit all of Lexington and take us to a surprisingly better future. Please join me in voting for Mark Sandeen for Selectman on March 4th.
